For the next 8 weeks at Whitwell Rutland Water, Aqua Park Rutland is open for summer family fun for all ages.
On Friday, I headed down to the Press Day to try it out!
While I took photographs of their experience my Brother and his friend Ollie tested out the attraction.
Here's how they got on!

When we first arrived, the structure did seem a lot smaller than we expected from the pictures and videos we watched previously. However it's no doubt one of the most amazing adventure/water sports activities I've ever seen.
After a short safety briefing, the boys decided against wetsuits (which are available to hire for £5), popped on their life jackets and headed in!
Obviously cold at first, they swam the short distance to enter to aqua park.

It was amusing and interested to watch from the shore how the boys got on, and it took them no time at all before they fell in. Everyone was clearly loving the experience, with friends and families of all ages taking to the park and having what looked like so much fun.

The park is £15 for 55 Minutes which looked like the perfect amount of time, and what I think is an affordable price for such a unique activity.
As some of the different elements to the park aren't connected it includes some swift tactics and swimming, plus a hell load of energy to get to each.
They boys found it a lot harder than they originally thought and after about 45 minutes we're started to feel tired. Although when we first arrived we expected (from the pictures online) the structure to be a bit bigger, it became clear that if it was the size we were expecting, energy levels would've been tested to the max to get around the whole park, as even after 45 minutes there were still areas the boys hasn't tried out. The only thing they thought could improve the experience was possible an introduction of some music playing during the 55 minutes.

Aqua Park Rutland is such a unique day out for all the family, and I love to see something so different in Rutland. It would usually involve travelling to find something similar to Aqua Park Rutland and it's extremely refreshing to see something on this scale brought here.
It's no doubt that the on-water-water-park is going to be the favourite attraction of the summer and I would advice you to get your slot booked as I can imagine it's going to be the talk of the town.

I thought I'd put together my top 10 favourite beauty products for Summer 2016, with everything from hair to nails.

I've never used a hair mist before or any other products like this from JKB Argent.
With ingredients such as argon oil and aloe vera, Millionaire Hair Mist conditions and hydrates. It's a multipurpose natural hair product you can use for so many different needs.
It's the perfect product for summer as it keeps frizz under control, gives your hair a gorgeous natural scent and looks after those knotty sections by conditioning. It gives hair a great natural looking texture too without being sticky or uncomfortable. What I also love about Millionaire Hair Mist is how it wears on the hair throughout the day. The natural ingredients give this products uses from conditions, texturising and styling.
It's the ideal product for all your hair care needs that'll last all summer long.
A newly to Laura Mercier products, yet I'm hooked.
This radiance primer is the perfect base for your everyday makeup giving you a smooth surface as well as a radiant glow! It works so well with a light coverage, sheer foundation or tinted moisturising giving you a summer glow, which looks fab with your highlighter on top too.
It's never quite summer without a red lip, and what better than a glossy one?
Tanya Burr's lip glosses with their incredible shine are your summer lip must have.
This gorgeous red shade in 'Let's Travel the World' is my summer red lip of choice this year.
I picked this product up purely by curiosity as I've never seen it before.
However, I'm so glad I did! I keep it in my handbag and on my bedside table when my skin feels like it's in need of a little hydration or to cool me down. The fine mist is so refreshing and cooling on the skin, it's a great little addition to your handbag this summer.
This bargain pack of 3 razors is a great little set to pick up this summer. With coconut infused strips for hydration you can say 'see you next year!' to those dry patches on your legs and feel confident in your denim shorts this summer.

I've always been a huge fan of dry shampoo as I have grease prone hair. However, I've always been really annoyed how it always left a grey look as I've got dark brunette hair.
Until I tried COLab! It's the best dry shampoo I've ever tried for scent, texture and being invisible, so that means no more grey looking hair! The COLab range is amazing and there is a scent for everyone as well as an extreme volume collection too.
The fruity scent of the New York Collection is so perfect for summer, and with 2 different sizes this 50ml bottle is ideal for your handbag!

As I have a very round face contouring and highlighting is great makeup option for me to add a little shape to my football face. I picked up this kit from Collection and wasn't expecting much for under £5. However, I was wrong it's great! It's the best contour kit I've tried and is a must purchase in my opinion.
It's a great purchase for summer because the highlight shade is stunning! With a cool, champagne colouring that glides along the cheek bones leaving a gorgeous glow.
As one of the best budget nail polishes I've ever tried, I highly recommend checking out Tanya Burr's Nail Polish Collection. This shade in 'Bright & Early' is a gorgeous coral ideal for summer.
Paired with a red lip and red sandal is stunning for everyday or evening.
You really can't beat Too Faced Bronzers. The pigmentation, longevity and their ability to blend is absolutely stunning. They're a great makeup investment for summer - don't get me started on their amazing Too Faced packaging also!
The Sweet Tea Sweetheart Bronzer from Too Faced is gorgeous! With 2 shades, a dark brown and a lighter more shimmery shade give you a 2-in-1 product.
The shade combination is stunning for popping on the highest parts of your face (most likely to catch the sun first) gives you a gorgeous summer glow.
A bargain buy at just over £6 Fleur's highly pigmented eyeshadows are stunning and available in this quad palette are gorgeous shades perfect for all year round.
Use one or two shades to create a subtle look, or use all four and create a neutral smokey eye with a bronze tone that will be the perfect partner for a shimmery bronze on the cheeks.
You'll look like a bronzed goddess!

I'm a huge nail fan!
My love of all-things-nails started when I decided to do work experience in a nail bar and the love instantly blossomed. As someone that has always bitten their nails its been something I'm really self conscious of, so you'll rarely see me without my false nails on.
So when I saw that Orly had releases a 'Tennis Ball Neon' shade in time for Wimbledon I was instantly inspired to create Wimbledon themed nail art to share on my blog.
The 'Tennis Ball Neon' shade couldn't been more like an actual tennis ball, it's an awesome colour for summer too. You may think it's similar to Orly 'Road Trippin' but it's cooler toned and much more luminous.
When I think of Wimbledon it makes me think of summer, strawberries, being patriotic and of course, tennis. So with all that in mind I sat with my Orly 'Tennis Ball Neon' and my collection of nail varnishes and created this fun, Wimbledon themed nail art of; tennis balls, strawberries, the union jack and tennis rackets and I love it!
I finished them off by using Lottie 'So Gel' which is a DIY nail game changer that gives you salon perfect nail with a gel finish from home and if you're looking for the perfect top coat with a shiny finish, I definitely recommend So Gel by Lottie - which is available from Superdrug.
I've already had so many comment on them and just by taking 30 minutes to do them one evening is such a fun way to release your creative side and have a little fun for summer.
If you're a lover of nails too and want to try out some nail art, don't be afraid just go for it!

If you're a regular reading you'll know I'm obsessed with skincare.
I have quite a collection of skincare products which I'm quite settled with, but that doesn't mean I don't regularly try new out new ones.
I nipped into Tesco recently and noticed a new addition to the Garnier Micellar Water collection; SkinActive Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water.

I was drawn to this product on the shelf by the strange liquid which has a layer of oil on top of it, and was intrigued. As I suffer with very dry skin this instantly appeared in my basket and I thought that maybe this is the product I've been after all along.
I love the ease of Micellar Water as a cleanser however, I do feel they dry my skin out especially in the eyelid area. When I've been using this Oil-Infused version from Garnier it's been a complete game changer.
It really is a 2-in-1 product for only £4 (from Tesco) you get a cleanser and a facial oil.
I take my makeup off at night before bed and leave the oil the work its way into the skin, waking up in the morning with no trace of dryness.
Just overnight the oil had rehydrated my skin without the use of a moisturiser which I would normally have to wear to insure my dry areas didn't worsen overnight, which they usually would.
However in this case, I really didn't need a moisturiser at all and even the day after my skin is feeling healthy, hydrated and refreshed from just using the Oil-Infused Micellar Water the night before.
Honestly, I was actually expecting this product to be a bit hit and miss for the price, and the fact that I've usually chosen the L'oreal Micellar Water over the previous Garnier ones. I was very, very wrong though! This product feels so high end and it's completely fool proof and so easy to use with great results instantly.
If you suffer from dry or sensitive skin, then I highly recommend you try this product out, as I'm predicting it's going to be the new high street favourite and I expect to see more and more Bloggers raving about it in the upcoming months.

PINKY NUDES | NEW LOOK BEAUTY

High street beauty is a new addition to the beauty world that I'm a huge fan of.
With Topshop and H&M with established beauty brands I thought it was time to rave about New Look Beauty; Pure Colour.
I've tried a few products from Pure Colour by New Look however, I hardly hear it mentioned across the Blogosphere and that surprises me.
I own 2 Lip Crayons, 2 Nail Polishes and now, a Lip Liner and Lipstick all from Pure Colour Beauty by New Look.

The first thing I love about the Pure Colour Beauty Collection is the packaging. All the product match and look like an attractive high-end collective even though they're high street prices.
I chose the Sweet Rose Lipstick and matching Lip Liner as I have quite a few beige nudes in my lipstick collection and I'm craving some more summer friendly pinky nudes, and this No.75 Sweet Rose shade is perfect for that your lips but better look.
The formulation of the products are moisturising mattes, not quite your MAC Matte finish as they're not drying and don't set as such they sit on the lips rather than sink into them or an everyday look that wears well with drinking and eating allowing the product to move around the lips.
The lip liner is a gorgeous texture and has soft crayon like finish which is really easy to line to lips and blend into the lipstick whether you're overlaying your lips or not this is a great texture to create whatever lip look you're after.
As you can see fro the image bellow, the colours are almost identical. I would say that the lip liner is actually one shade pinker and slightly more intense than the lipstick but that's only on extra close inspection.
This shade combo is perfect for an everyday look with subtle makeup or for a night time look paired with a smokey eye. It's the ideal pairing for summer with a pinky toned finish rather than a cool toned nude.
These two products - and everything else I've tried in the Pure Colour Makeup Collection - are amazing. The packaging, the formulation and pigmentation as well as the accessibility to test and buy the product alongside the price point just make a perfect beauty brand you can rely on.
I've yet to try any of the base products but I do sway more towards high-end for those anyway, but if you're looking for a new beauty brand to try that's kind to any budget - these two products cost me less than £6! - I'd highly recommend Pure Colour by New Look.
