GARNIER OIL INFUSED MICELLAR WATER | REVIEW

29.6.16

If you're a regular reading you'll know I'm obsessed with skincare.
I have quite a collection of skincare products which I'm quite settled with, but that doesn't mean I don't regularly try new out new ones.

I nipped into Tesco recently and noticed a new addition to the Garnier Micellar Water collection; SkinActive Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water.

Garnier SkinActive Oil-Infused Micellar Water (£3.99) | Buy: http://goo.gl/fACybQ
I was drawn to this product on the shelf by the strange liquid which has a layer of oil on top of it, and was intrigued. As I suffer with very dry skin this instantly appeared in my basket and I thought that maybe this is the product I've been after all along.

I love the ease of Micellar Water as a cleanser however, I do feel they dry my skin out especially in the eyelid area. When I've been using this Oil-Infused version from Garnier it's been a complete game changer.

It really is a 2-in-1 product for only £4 (from Tesco) you get a cleanser and a facial oil.
I take my makeup off at night before bed and leave the oil the work its way into the skin, waking up in the morning with no trace of dryness.

Just overnight the oil had rehydrated my skin without the use of a moisturiser which I would normally have to wear to insure my dry areas didn't worsen overnight, which they usually would.
However in this case, I really didn't need a moisturiser at all and even the day after my skin is feeling healthy, hydrated and refreshed from just using the Oil-Infused Micellar Water the night before.

Honestly, I was actually expecting this product to be a bit hit and miss for the price, and the fact that I've usually chosen the L'oreal Micellar Water over the previous Garnier ones. I was very, very wrong though! This product feels so high end and it's completely fool proof and so easy to use with great results instantly.

If you suffer from dry or sensitive skin, then I highly recommend you try this product out, as I'm predicting it's going to be the new high street favourite and I expect to see more and more Bloggers raving about it in the upcoming months.

Let me know if you've tried this new Micellar Water from Garnier and what you thought!

PINKY NUDES | NEW LOOK BEAUTY

26.6.16

High street beauty is a new addition to the beauty world that I'm a huge fan of.
With Topshop and H&M with established beauty brands I thought it was time to rave about New Look Beauty; Pure Colour.

I've tried a few products from Pure Colour by New Look however, I hardly hear it mentioned across the Blogosphere and that surprises me.
I own 2 Lip Crayons, 2 Nail Polishes and now, a Lip Liner and Lipstick all from Pure Colour Beauty by New Look.

No. 75 Sweet Rose Lipstick (£3.99) and No. 75 Mid Pink Lip Liner (£1.99) from Pure Colour by New Look
The first thing I love about the Pure Colour Beauty Collection is the packaging. All the product match and look like an attractive high-end collective even though they're high street prices.

I chose the Sweet Rose Lipstick and matching Lip Liner as I have quite a few beige nudes in my lipstick collection and I'm craving some more summer friendly pinky nudes, and this No.75 Sweet Rose shade is perfect for that your lips but better look.

The formulation of the products are moisturising mattes, not quite your MAC Matte finish as they're not drying and don't set as such they sit on the lips rather than sink into them or an everyday look that wears well with drinking and eating allowing the product to move around the lips.

The lip liner is a gorgeous texture and has soft crayon like finish which is really easy to line to lips and blend into the lipstick whether you're overlaying your lips or not this is a great texture to create whatever lip look you're after.

As you can see fro the image bellow, the colours are almost identical. I would say that the lip liner is actually one shade pinker and slightly more intense than the lipstick but that's only on extra close inspection.

This shade combo is perfect for an everyday look with subtle makeup or for a night time look paired with a smokey eye. It's the ideal pairing for summer with a pinky toned finish rather than a cool toned nude.

These two products - and everything else I've tried in the Pure Colour Makeup Collection - are amazing. The packaging, the formulation and pigmentation as well as the accessibility to test and buy the product alongside the price point just make a perfect beauty brand you can rely on.

I've yet to try any of the base products but I do sway more towards high-end for those anyway, but if you're looking for a new beauty brand to try that's kind to any budget - these two products cost me less than £6! - I'd highly recommend Pure Colour by New Look.

Let me know if you've tried any of the Pure Colour by New Look beauty products and what you thought in the comments.

HAIR & SKIN | NEW FAVOURITES

19.6.16

As a Blogger I'm often sent or trying out new products, some well known on the high street and some newer brands. I've been trying and testing a lot of new products this month, and here are some of my new favourite for skin and hair.

I have quite oily hair with dry ends and a prone to grease scalp and have been trying this Henara Shampoo & Conditioner for Brunettes. In the summer months my hair tends to get a lot dryer at the ends and looks quite lifeless and my scalp greasy.
This Henara Shampoo arrived through my letter box and I was instantly intrigued.
I've never heard of Henara as a brand, or the use of Henna and Walnut in my hair care products.
I've been using these products for about 2 weeks now and I love them.
My hair feels healthy, so, so shiny, is less knotty and is amazingly soft too.
My colour has definitely been enhanced or revived as I've had comments on it, not that I personally noticed. I definitely had to watch my hair more often than usual due to the use of natural oils, but it feels much healthier for it.
The product is brown in colour which is new to me and you really only have to use the slightest amount of each it goes a long way.
I would definitely repurchase this hair combo for the summer months as it's given my hair its life back.

Henara Bronze Shine Henna & Walnut Shampoo & Conditioner - Buy here: https://goo.gl/8vuhJp
This is a product I've been waiting to try for ages as I've never tried any other Exuviance products or restorative creme's.
The packaging intrigued me as it looked quite medial so I waited until I felt my skin really needed some help with dehydration, before I gave it a go as I didn't want to upset my current skincare routine.
In summer, with dry skin and a dry skin condition too my forehead, eyelids and chest get very dry and flaky, which happened this month especially.
When reading into the product before application, I noticed its suited perfectly for my dry, easily irritated skin and provides deep hydration. And for it's non-drugstore price tag I was expecting big things.
When applying the product is thick and blue in colouring, quite waxy to the touch.
Once applied the blue colouring disappears and it blends into the skin and turns into more a serum/oil. You can use this product on your face, chest and hands as well for restorative hydration.
I'm super impressed with this product. After I cleansed my face with a cleansing balm I applied this product and left it to sink in overnight, waking up in the more to fresh, soft, hydrated skin.
The specialist product is amazing and I highly recommend it to those after an anti-ageing product.

The fact this product is called Skin Food and specifically for dry and rough skin really appealed to me. The product itself is a cream, citrus scented thick cream like most potted moisturisers and smells amazing. It instantly feels amazing on the skin and sits and sinks into those areas in need of nourishment - it really does feed the skin.
It has really similar results to the Exuviance Creme in the fact that it gets to work really quickly and is a great alternative option if you've a smaller skincare budget.
The Weleda Skin Food is all natural and that really shows in the product, and can also be used all over the body.
The product works best massaged into the skin and turns quite oily, however I'd recommend to let it works its way in to very dehydrated areas and leave it over night.
