NEW YEAR ORGANISATION

Year on year, I always say 'this year I'm going to get more organised' and it's never really gone to well. Well! This year, I'm going to get a grip and stick to it, with the help of beautiful stationery.
With my mental health disorder I should be more organised as it helps with my mood swings and anxiety if I'm the queen on planning. So I'm going to make 2017 my year to become the ultimate planner and Queen of Organisation.
Woop, woop!
So, what better way than to stay organised that investing in some stunning stationery?
Busy B sent me these 3 gorgeous pieces to help me on my way to ultimate organisation.
Firstly, a Purse with the perfect outer pocket to keep the card you need to get your paws on quickly! The purse is the perfect size to keep in your handbag for your coins and receipts.

Formally a Little Chef, the Country Lounge Café Bar opened in July 2015. You cannot compare it to its former self, and no longer look anything like the tired Little Chef that once was.
I've been to the Country Lounge many times, and even spent New Years Eve there last year.
However, more recently I'm aware it's had a change of hands as well as a few changes and renovations. So, on our way to pumpkin picking the other day we stopped in for lunch, and it's the first time I've eaten there since the change of management.
The decor of the Country Lounge is divine and totally up my street with rustic decor, mix/match chairs and tables, varied seating and amazing hand drawn wall art and quirky light features.
The Menu is great and staff are so welcoming, there really is something for everyone on the massive A3 double sided menu. Most of the food is Italian style with the odd English dish thrown in there.
Seated service is quick and kind with very happy and welcoming staff members. However, once our drink order was taken we waited a really, really long time for our drinks and our meal order wasn't taken for a painful amount of time, despite trying to get staff member attentions.
Eventually we had to take ourselves up to the bar to place our order.
Once our order was finally taken, food took an average amount of time but was worth the wait.
My partner ordered a lasagna and I ordered a Pizza, as they the Country Lounge have a huge pizza oven and I'm a pizza fanatic.
Tom polished off his lasagna in no time and said it was delicious. As was my olive and onion pizza, which took me straight back to Rome and was the most similar pizza to the ones I'd eaten there last year when visiting Italy.
Overall the Country Lounge is a great place to visit for lunch or dinner and being on the A47 is a great stop of for travellers with loads of parking and plenty of seating too.
The only thing I think the Country Lounge need to address is the order times, as it was quite awkward. We were on our way to Chesterton and decided to stop off at the Country Lounge last minute but the stop took a lot, lot longer than we had hope due to the staff being a little slow.
The food though, is fantastic and the selection is fab. Prices are reasonable and portions are great for what you pay for each dish and drink. The Country Lounge is a great place to take the whole family, and you can be confident everyone will find something they fancy.
It's the little things that impress me about the Country Lounge, especially the attention to detail with the decor and sweet little ideas like displaying and selling local produce and giftware that really gives the restaurant the unusual edge that is very memorable.
I would highly recommend trying out the Country Lounge Café Bar on A47 near Morcott in Rutland. But my only tip would be leave a little extra time depending on staff service that day.

BRINGING BACK BLUE EYELINER?

I've never been one for out-there makeup, but have always admired the adventurous!
However, since getting more and more obsessed with makeup and watching tutorial after tutorial, I've realised I have become more interested in experimenting and trying out new things.
For the past month or so I've been constantly wearing blue eyeliner.
Yes. Blue. Eyeliner.
Blue eyeliner brings back memories of starting secondary school for me when we all used to wear white, green and blue eyeliner on our waterline and looking back, looked awful.
Well, I've not been bringing that 2006 girl gang craze but I have been using a liquid blue eyeliner on my upper lash line with a cat flick and I absolutely love it!

I first got the idea when I saw lots of people on YouTube raving about the NYX Vivid Brights Eyeliner Collection and instantly had to get my hands on the blue one called 'Sapphire'.
I was expecting much as the only eyeliner I've ever got along with was Loreal's Black Lacquer Liner, as with my hooded eyes and oily eyelids none other has every stayed on like Black Lacquer does.
But I was pleasantly surprised by the NYX Liner which is a completely different consistency and applicator to the Loreal one I normally use. However, it's so easy to work with, simple to apply and dries completely matte and lasts all day.
The liner is such a gorgeous colour it looks great with a subtle base, bold brows and subtle lip and it works its own magic and really is a wearable statement look you can wear in the day time too, or dress up for evening.
I've already got my eye on the red liner in the Vivid Brights Collection too, and I can see myself slowly investing in the whole collection.
I highly recommend giving these liner a try as they're so much fun and have made me feel a lot more confident about experimenting with makeup. My friends and family have given me such lovely comments every time I worn the blue liner, which makes me love it even more!

After seeing this gorgeous palette raved about on social media I had to get my hands on it, I think it's the most stunning palette ever.
It's called the 'Golden Sugar Ultra Blush Palette' by Makeup Revolution and contains bronzers, merged blushers, baked bronzer and merged baked highlighters in the most amazing shade combinations.

The most surprising thing about the gorgeous palette is the quality product you get for the price, at only £6.00 for 8 large pan shades.
Makeup Revolution are a very respected brand for their price point and product variety, however I'm blown away by their packaging which is on par with so many high-end brands where this sized palette would be around the £30+ mark.
As you can see from the swatches of the pans bellow they have a huge pay off and incredible pigmentation, great for using as blushers with a stippling brush or a fan brush as highlighters.
There is also two bronzer shades, so if you love your sculpting and highlighting, this palette is a must for the ultimate glow.
Not only does this palette look amazing and is a work of art visually but the quality of the products is like nothing else in the drugstore price point.
Makeup Revolution are a brand highly recommended for high-end dupes and I think this palette is a must have product for every beauty lovers collection at only £6.00.

Based on the swatches alone, many people would be surprised at the affordability and availability of this product and would most probably presume it had a high-end price tag when looking at the product, swatches, pay off and packaging - which also includes a huge handy mirror, which is usually absent on quality drugstore products.
I have a lot of respect for Makeup Revolution for offering such amazing products at their price point, because most of the time if something works this well and is this fantastic the price point is usually much, much more.
Granted, due to the amazing wallet friendly prices, these product can sometimes be hard to get hold of as the stand in Superdrug is always crowded with other MR fan.
However, you can get them on the Makeup Revolution and Superdrug website, so panic not!
I think this palette, and Makeup Revolution as a brand should be raved about as much as possible.
Being able to get such quality products at these prices is so refreshing for the beauty world and I'm so proud we're able to get hold of such an amazing brand in our local drugstores.

It's been a while since I last mentioned my current makeup routine and the products I can't get enough of right now, so I thought I'd share my Summer 2016 Makeup Menu with you, and it's all drugstore!
I'm not a huge lover of summer personally, but this year I have loved some of the new trends of summer makeup and I've been getting creative with it too.
Day-to-day I've kept it basic and adding a bold brow, flawless finish, on-glow highlight and matte nude lip - I love it!
So onto products, I've got a lot of new favourites I never mentioned on my blog before, so be sure to let me know in the comments if you've tried them too!
After falling in love with BD Tinted Moisturiser, I turned to the slightly more coverage foundation that gives a more flawless, pore-less finish.
I love the consistency of this foundation it's super easy to blend, and the range of shade offerings is amazing.
I've been a fan of this concealer for ages! It's great for under eye bags with high coverage perfect for blemishes too. I use this under my eyes, around my nose and cupids bow for extra coverage and to high those pores!
If you're after a brightening concealer then I highly recommend the Revlon Colorstay concealer!
I wouldn't say you get the best coverage with this concealer which is why I wear it over the Maybelline Eraser Eye but it's super brightening and great for getting that bright under eye Kardashian look.
I've not used powder properly for years but I'm back on the powder bandwagon!
This powder from NYX is amazing for setting your makeup and perfect for hot days helping you makeup last longer and stay matte perfect.
This product is the best contour kit I've ever tried and it's only £3.99!
The contour shade is perfect and great for building and blending depending on your desired sculpted look for the day. I use it to define my cheek bones and jaw line with an angled fluffy brush for a naturally sculpted look.
I also use the highlighter in this kit on my cheekbones, nose and cupids bow.
It gives a great glow and isa gorgeous champagne shade perfect for summer.
Tanya Burr Perfect Brows Kit - £6.99 Superdrug
Again, another product I love and will be continue to buy and hope is never discontinued!
Tanya Burr's brow kit is totally amazing! Whatever your brow shade you have it or can mix it with this palette. It actually comes with a great brush and handy tiny tweezers too.
I use the darkest shade to get this bold brow look I'm loving right now.
I'm still yet to find a black liquid liner I love as much as this one from Loreal.
It's super, super black and dries quickly too so you don't have to worry about transfer or smudging, it's ideal for hooded eyes like mine!
Back to an old favourite for summer! Tesco Beauty sent me this mascara to review and I've rekindled my love for the Lash Sensational. I love the brush shape and style it's great or bottom lashes too.
Using this mascara takes no time at all to get false lash effect.
The shade of this blush looks quite intense in the pan but it gives a stunning health flush glow to the cheeks and has rose gold shimmer within it too so you get an added highlighted flush too which looks great with a matte base.
I've been obsessed with matte lips for years and I love Tanya Burr's products, so when I found out about the release of her liquid lips, I had to have them!
Martha Moo is my favourite out of the 3 shades she launched, its the perfect nude and the consistency of the product is stunning! It's so easy to apply and lasts for ages and ages even through drinking and eating.
I've been wearing it with day and night makeup looks and it really is one of my top 5 favourite beauty products I've ever tried.

I recently read Tanya Burr's blog post called 'Lets not be shy about it' referring to intimate hygiene, and I was amazed to find out that I'd never heard of FemFresh.
I'd obviously seen the brand before but had never really thought about what it could be used for, and the use of the brand never crossed my mind.
I've always been nervous and worried about intimate hygiene as it's something my mother has always been very informative about when it comes to 'care for down there'.
I've always worried about what I should actually be using when washing and on-the-go hygiene too.
So after reading Tanya's blog post, I went in search for all-things-FemFresh!
It was actually harder than I thought! I couldn't find it in any of my local supermarkets or in my local pharmacy, but managed to stumble across it in Boots.
I read into FemFresh before using the products as I was so intrigued about why it was different to using normally skincare washing product that I've used for forever, and why this is not more widely spoken about.
FemFresh is described as 'a gentle and caring, pH balanced intimate skincare wash that’s different, because your intimate skin is different' and even that small statement confirmed that this is an important topic that all women should be informed about.
So I've been using the FemFresh Wash Daily - which is soap-free by the way - and I have noticed a difference in feeling cleaner and more confident especially in the heat we've been experiencing recently.
The product I was most excited to try, was the deodorant.
Deodorant for your vagina? How could I not be intrigued.
Again, this is an issue I've always been completely paranoid about and regularly carry wipes in my handbag to freshen-up with.
So when I heard there was a deodorant for your intimate area, I had to give it a go!
It's been specially formulated to give long lasting freshness with a 'delicate fragrance, combined with the calendula multi-Actif complex helps limit the development of odour to leave you feeling fresh and confident", with moisturising silk extract to provide a protective layer to increase comfort.
I couldn't believe the results, they were instant.
I waited until I wasn't feeling as fresh down there, and used the deodorant which instantly freshened the area and made me feel so much more confident and comfortable, I now carry it everywhere with me. I think it's a must for the summer months especially.
The final product I tried from FemFresh was the wipes, ideal for on-the-go.
I've been using the Teen Wipes from Lil-lets in recent months which are good, but you don't get many in there. However they are the perfect handbag friendly size.
The FemFresh wipes cleanse, freshen and deodorise and include 25 wipes.
The packaging is less handbag friendly, however these wipes are a game changer.
Overall, I can't believe I've never heard of FemFresh properly before, and am shocked that it's not more widely spoken about, especially in the blogging and beauty world as I feel these products are so important for our daily skincare and washing routine.
If intimate hygiene is something you've always been paranoid about like myself, I'd highly recommend testing out FemFresh and it's given me so much more confidence I feel it's a brand I will use and respect for years to come.

Using FemFresh has made me feel so good, it's even resulted in me going commando a few times recently and avoiding that annoying VLP in a tight dress situation.
But mainly because I feel so clean, comfortable and confident, I'm happy to do so!

Ever since I heard of the release of this palette from Makeup Revolution I was desperate to get my hands on it.
I searched everywhere and it was all sold out.
However, last week I found one! The last one.
So as I was eagerly waiting for the Makeup Revolution 'Fortune Favours the Brave' Palette and reading review after review to soothe the pain of not owning it myself, I thought it would be only right for me to do a review of my own now I have my paws on it!

The first thing that caught my eye about this palette was the packaging, and the name.
I love the name, it's so unique! The gold packaging is so high-end and really great quality for £9.99!
The other thing that made me want this palette so bad was the range of unique shades, especially the blues and greens. But it also has a great versatile range of natural shades too.
It's like a dream!
I've heard a lot of comments about this palette saying that the individual eyeshadow pans are too small or a lot smaller than expected.
However, my thoughts are; When do you ever finish an eyeshadow completely?
This palette has 30 eyeshadows.. 30 for £9.99!
The pan size doesn't bother me, as for such a versatile palette I'm totally okay with the size of the pans for the amount of shadows you get for your money, as the shade range of shimmers and mattes is incredible.

Pigmentation and formula wise, they're some of the best I've tried.
As you can see from the swatch photo bellow, this was from just one swirl in the pan and even the lightest shades are super pigmented.
These shades blend really well too, and the palette gives you an endless selection of shade combination for so many different looks that you can create.
The Fortune Favours the Brave Palette has the best mirror ever - it's huge!
It also has an eyeshadow brush you can actually use and one you're not just instantly going to throw away that takes up so much of the palette.

I can't recommend this amazing palette enough.
If you're an eyeshadow lover or on a budget it's a great palette to own and has a shade for every occasion.
