#BLOGMAS DAY 8 - TREE DAY

9.12.14

It's BLOGMAS Day 8... Already

Yesterday I took my first December trip to Highcross Shopping Centre in Leicester which is my closest Mall and largest range of shops.

For my birthday on Sunday my boyfriend bought me the most amazing gift of a Marc Jacobs Watch, so I went to Highcross to get it adjusted as I couldn't wait any longer to wear it!

One of the newest shops to Highcross and one of my new favourite shops is Tiger.

This time last year I'd never heard of Tiger, but now I can't live without it.

The biggest variety of stock from kids toys to novelty gifts, homeware, dressing up, candles, stationary and more!

I went in search of Christmas gifts and grist mad decorations which they had in abundance, however I was almost spoilt for choice.

One of the newest restaurant to Highcross and another of mine and my boyfriends new favourites, is Stone Baked Pizza Co

I love Pizza.
We love Pizza.

Stone Baked Pizza Co is the stylish Subway for Pizza lovers.

All Pizzas (around 10") are £6.95, with no limit on toppings.

YES! Choose up to 35 different toppings for only £6.95!

They're really, really yummy Pizzas!

On the way home to the countryside I thought I'd film my amazing cars pathetic excuse for voice recognition, for your own entertainment.

The next part of my full day being 20 years old, consisted of one of the best annual activities (if you're a country bumpkin like me) of Tree Day

Near where I've been brought up is a farm where they grow Christmas trees and every year around my birthday we go an select our tree!

The trees are all lined up all fluffy and perfect where you can select which ones you're taken too.

Then they're taken and all wrapped and netted perfectly to then try and cram an 8ft tree in your car with the help of everyone surrounding.

The farm is only open for around a month and a bit a year where they only ever sell Christmas trees.

They convert one of their barns into a shop too for you to buy your tree accessories, stands and any other festive items too!

Even potatoes.

With a house full of unorganised busy bees like my family, then becomes the task of finding the Christmas decoration box.

Is it in the attic?

Is it in the cupboard under the stairs?

The garage?...

The it's time to decide what signature style to go for this year.

This year is Monochrome Sparkle with a hint of festive red.

And Dexter (my cat) agrees too.

So, with a sprinkle of festivity and some Christmas spirit to decorating of the tree is complete

Finished with some blue lighting and a switching off the lights, Christmas 2014 begins!

And this is the Pallett Families Christmas Tree of 2014, and I love it
